Very inspiring words. Thanks for sharing. I come from an extremely strong LDS (mormon) background and it's so interesting to me to see how different faiths have such common beliefs. My kids go to St. John's ECC and I love the spirit that we feel there. As I've learned about Layla, I too have questioned how God can let such a little sweetie suffer so. I think we all have inner (spiritual) battles and need constant reminders that God loves us through absolutely everything. Thanks for all you do and your wonderful words.

I'm sure to some "suffering" does make sense... maybe some need to suffer to come out on the other side appreciating what brought them into the "tunnel" in the first place. Layla however or her parents didn't need to suffer the way that they did. They would have appreciated life even that much more if Layla had been healed which God could have done. As a Christian, this is so confusing to me... I guess I will never understand! What haunts me throughout all of this is, I'm sure that Layla was hungry when she said, "I want to eat", because as it appears she was not given any food during her final journey, so I truly don't think it was code for anything other than, please let me eat. I wish that I could make sense of Layla's horrible journey, why we are all a part of it... I fell in love with this little girl the moment I layed eyes on her and heard her voice on youtube... she was a gift, the world has lost an amazing little gift. I will never forget her! I hope to see her in Heaven someday... playing, laughing and whole again.

Thank you for sharing this. It does make so much sense and we know that our mighty God is in control.
